What was the containment policy? How did the Truman administration implement it in Europe and Asia?

An effort to stop the USSR or communism from taking over other countries. It was implemented by the formation of NATO, the Korean War, the Vietnam war, the aid to West Berlin. It simply base of our strategy for the majority of the cold war.
